As she stepped into the dimly lit sauna, Annie felt her skin contracting from the sudden heat. She could barely see anything in the haze, but she could hear a few muffled voices talking quietly in the background. She settled onto one of the wooden benches and wrapped herself in a towel, savoring the heat that made her feel alive.
Minutes passed like hours, and she was about to nod off when she heard a rustling sound. She looked up and saw a shadowy figure walking towards her. She couldn't make out the face, but she could tell it was a man. He sat down on the bench next to her and let out a deep sigh of pleasure, making her feel uncomfortable.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to scare you," he said, noticing her unease. "I just needed to cool off for a second."
Annie frowned. "You're supposed to take a shower first before entering the sauna," she reminded him.
"Yeah, I know," he replied casually. "But I didn't have a towel with me, and I didn't want to get my clothes wet. Plus, I wanted to see if anyone was in here, so I took a chance."
Annie felt a pang of anger at his lack of consideration for others. "Well, that's not very considerate of you," she muttered under her breath.
